I have a Office 2016 Pro Plus VL 16.0.4266.1003 inside a folder on a usb drive. Is there a way to download a clean version of 16.0.4498.1000 VL ?? Can't find it anywhere... (on my language Italian) Instead, is there a way to update my 16.0.4266.1003 folder to 16.0.4498.1000 to have an updated installation al all??
VL msi ISOs had not been updated since RTM you can include patches in Updates folder, but the version will remain the same only a service pack change the overall product version for traditional MSI
many thanks abbodi so...is there a list of the Latest updates for Office 2016 (VL edition count?) x64, to download them and put in the "updates" folder? or a package like Simplix Pack for Office ?? I tried to use WSUS Offline Update, selectin only Office 2016 in the options, but in some minutes it download more than 2GB in 60 files of 200+ expected... I don't think it will be right that software.
I have this installed using O2016RTool - I've since bought a copy of 360 but can't activate it using my email address. I've tried uninstalling O2016RTool copy and installing again from the link in the 360 portal but it's still activating using KMS. How do I completely remove all of the O2016RTool components?

Without more details, I'm afraid you have to wait until my crystal ball comes back from repair service. Office 2016 is native Volume (VLSC) or Click2Run (C2R) version? If Click2Run: Which Office 2016 distribution channel (Current/Retail, Insider FAST, Insider Slow) and build-number are you using ? If you have "Current"-distribution channel installed on W10 RS2, then maybe one of the Insider-versions will work better. They are of a more recent build, where "Insider FAST" is the most newest. You can use O2016RTool's (U) option to change update-path / distribution-channel of an already installed Click2Run Office 2016 to use any of the other channels.
Today, I tried to open an CSV file using Excel and I was faced with a delay, I had to Edit the registry and performed the same steps listed here: 1- Navigate to \HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Excel.Sheet.12\shell\Open\ 2- Delete the key named “ddexec”. 3- Navigate to \HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Excel.Sheet.12\shell\Open\command 4- Change the subkey "Default" to read: “C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office16\EXCEL.EXE” “%1” 5- Delete the “command” subkey which is beneath "Default". (Ensure copying the full Value Data including the "" also ensure you have the correct Office path on your computer). But this time to this registry Key: \HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Excel.CSV\shell\Open\command Where I set Default to "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office16\EXCEL.EXE" "%1" and deleted command subkey and ddeexec key, It now opens CSV files instantly.. I can see few more keys that have similar settings, for example "Excel.Backup" and "Excel.Chart". I don't know what files they affect, but I will leave them as they are until I face further problems.
Slow opening of Excel files and other "slow-down's": From what I have found on the net, it is quite clear, that our little girlfriend "Cortana" is interfering here! With feature "Hey Cortana" disabled, or even better Cortana fully disabled, all delays are gone. Now it's clear why I didn't face that situation. It's because I always say "Farewell", "Ciao", "Sayonara" and "Adios" to her whenever she wants to get into a new relationship with me.
I face that Excel slow openning even on Windows 8.1 but only for the first or second sheets, afterthat it's normal not a big deal
At the moment I'm stuck at the fact, that Microsoft doesn't provide accurate and unique version info in their files. There are differences between version shown in "About" window and installed version shown at Programs and Features in uninstall section. I lean towards reading "uninstall info" because it's equal to version in announcement lists from MS and the ones checked/announced by O2016RTool. But I'm not yet really satified with this situation.
