No fix needed. The file you mention has full name "configure32.xml". File-extension .XML must be linked to a program for open/edit .XML-files. Now Windows shows white icon. Windows will show other icon, when you set a new default program for dealing with .XML files. The new icon will be the same as the program you select.
kinda weird with white icon usually there is icon like IE even though it's office xml handler. not a white icon, but as long as it works, for example when in double click, IE open and that xml show in IE. like a lot this C2R version
Hello Can I activate an Office 365 ProPlus VL with an account for Office365 ProPlus (with the email address) ? If so, where can I find an Office365 ProPlus VL? In fact I would like to have the installation in MSI with the choice of options to the installation With the installation C2R, I can just choose the "programs" to install Office (Word, Excel, etc ...) but I can not choose the options to install or not of Excel or Word for example Thanks
C2R install is controlled by XML file, O2016RTool can create custom setup packs and for instance install Word only .
Ok, but it is not possible to choose the options to install for Word, Excel, etc ... ? Or does a Retail Key / License work with an Office VL ? Thanks
Afaik O365 with subscription is generally Retail only. The VL conversion is only needed to use KMS or MAKs. O2016RTool offers options to chose what parts get installed or not.
Can someone help me please? I get this error when trying to run "setup.exe": "Setup can't find or validate an installation file." (see the attached image). It's Office ProPlus 2016 64 bit. The machine is running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit. I tried running it as admin and disabling Firewall, without success.
16.0.8828.2010 INSIDER FAST but *** ERROR downloading: http:// officecdn.microsoft.com.edgesuite.net/pr/5440fd1f-7ecb-4221-8110-145efaa6372f/Office/Data/v64_16.0.8828.2010.cab
Looks like your install package is incomplete. Office ProPlus is native Volume License or Click2Run ? From which source (ISO or downloaded package) did you try to install?
Yes, errors on Microsoft content delivery servers are not completely solved. Already "announced" Insider Fast 16.0.8828.2010 build is still not available. O2016RTool's version check is fooled by MS CDN server's announcement. Up to now 16.0.8730.2122 is still latest version for download. Patience is a virtue...
A new O2016RTool version (2017/December/09) was released today CHANGE: Removed query of content delivery server announcement system for latest available Office version. Now real available file "V32.cab" in CDN server's download directory is used. Inside V32.cab there is file "VersionDescriptor.xml". And inside VersionDescriptor.xml there is variable <Available Build=16.0.xxxx.yyyy This is the Office version stored on CDN server ready for download. This more reliable info is used now in check for new versions. As side-effect, speed of version check decreased. No other changes were made. Download-links and checksums in OP were updated.
It's an ISO. I tried installing it on my laptop and it worked perfectly. How is that possible? I tried updating the BIOS, but the problem persists.
So the installation media seems to be correct. Was any other Office installed on the faulty system before? If Yes, then uninstall by using Programs and Features may not sufficient enough. Could be, there are fragments left which disturb new installation. If this is the case, please use MS-Office FixIt-Tool from post#4. Be sure to take correct FixIt-Tool version based on priorly installed Office. And read instructions in post#4 how to use FixIt.
It's a PC that I just formatted. There aren't any programs installed apart Windows and the drivers. However, I already tried using that tool, without success.
Hhmm, rather strange. ISO-setup is working on Laptop, but not on other, fresh new system. What's the exact name of this ISO-file? Is it Volume License ISO? Already tried to use O2016RTool for downlad, install, conversion and activation?
