    Thanks 911Medic. It did not work. Flashed and looked it again with Everest and no SLIC tables at all. Unless they are hidden. It is a pain in the proverbial this one.

    The bios has a SLIC in it..and the RSDT is changed to match. I have checked with hex editor. You just need to find a way to flash with the exe,,,

    Thanks 911Medic. You are a million dollars, mate ! I have PM you and I think I have finally succeeded and will tell others that need help since it is quite obscure the way.
    I am carrying out more test, well I am re installing all over again since I had used DAZ loader and need to make ultra sure that it has happened. I am quite ignorant but if RW works reading the real truth in the chip bios (unlike Everest) then I can tell that the SLIC tab now appears in the RW report which before was not there but need to make sure is not a DAZ loader hijack.
    Will be back shortly.

    NOPE ! It does not work..................same bloody thing like happened last week with the Dell Dimension 8400. No way to inject SLIC though Andy's tools says SUCCESS.:mad:

    911Medic is correct.

    There is a Complete SLIC 2.1 (DELL QA09 1.0BNVDA) in 01_ROM (x1)

    Flash in Windows using the .EXE file that has been modified for you.

    If it does not work (your machine is an original WIN XP) Andy is working on a manual solution. It appears that pre VISTA machines with Dynamic tables when you flash the BIOS with the moded one it never takes the RSDT or perhaps it overwrites it again and the SLIC never gets there.

    HP dv2518tx Win 7

    I have installed Win 7 Pro HP OEM on my hp laptop (dv2518tx) but found it was not activated. Does it mean that my laptop is not qualified to use Win 7 ? I would like to know what should I do with the bios to make it possible to automatically activate after installation. I'm new to flash the bios so I need to know the operation step by step and the required tools I need to have. I hope someone here can give me the explanation. Thank in advance for any suggestions.
