Does this method still work? Just wondering since the original post is almost 3 years old

I tried following it to edit my Insyde Bios on my new laptop but I've been getting an error about the size not matching. But I'm not sure if I'm editing it right or not.

    hi guys,

i am trying to extract the dsdt.dsl from asus 1155 roms, but cannot work out how to do so.
will be doing this to around 40 roms (need the extracted dsdt to as it will be patched for use with osx), so would be grateful for the method on how to do this.

an example board would be the p8z68-v pro

    cheers

Hello! I have a Lenovo bios with inactive slic. Please tell me, which options in advanced mode i must use to activate slic and disable whitelist? Or may be better simply replace slic in standard mode? Here is bios file, backuped from laptop bios, because it not availableon official site: www_mediafire_com/?f2htzckmanqmvd9

Model of Laptop - Lenovo 3000 G530, bios version 0CCN58WW.

    Hi guys,

a friend modded my BIOS (ASUS P8H67) using an ASUS-SLIC2.1 (Method: Dynamic) and inserted also the asus.txt SLP File.
I repeated the mod for myself and got the same BIOS.

Now i wanna mod the BIOS with a LENOVO-SLIC.
Is it ok to use the same configs (Manufacturer, RW Report, Method) just without a SLP File?
I would take the following config to create the new LENOVO-BIOS:

    Original BIOS: original
Manufacturer: ASUS (or do I have to enter "Other", because I wanna get a LENOVO-BIOS at the end?)
    SLIC File: LENOVO
SLP File: none (or do I need a lenovo.txt-slp file - and if, where can I get it?)
RW Report: old one used to create the ASUS-MOD
    Method: Dynamic

Many thanks in advance for any hints

Yah... same config, just use Lenovo SLIC, choose ASUS as manufacturer. BTW you can also mod this w/o rw report :)
