Thanks, I looked at the manual a number of times and never saw P8H61MLC.ROM

I tried renaming the image I had and also downloaded a fresh copy of the version it was at. It never even does any reads on the flash drive when I power it on.

I also tried the name APTC015.ROM to see if that made any difference but it didn't.

The tutorial worked like a charm for a HP dv7-2160us. I had to generate a rw report, and it flashed just fine.

    THANKS!

I have an Acer InsydeH2O bios I've opened up with the tool, and all the modules displayed properly. However, I'm confused about how to disable AMD Cool N Quiet in the BIOS (or at least to show the Advanced menu so it can be changed). What do I need to change in order to do this?

    Hi,

since Asus structure changed from .ROM to .CAP for Windows 8 full-functionality (Rampage IV Extreme) it is not possible to flash the biosfile with asusupdate or from within the bios. it always fails with securitytest failed. is it a known problem or is there a sulution for it?

Dell Efi BIOS -- Vostro 1540

I'm not able to modify it with PhoenixTool 2.11 because it gives Error 6 - Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow
    I've tried it on Win7 64bit and WinXP 32bit

I can't even share the link to original bios and rw report due to forum rules of 20 min post for that :(

    Hello,

Can you tell me if it is possible. I have an Alienware m17xr2 with phoenix secure bios. There is a performance option in bios for CPU frequency settings. At the moment the max it can be set to is 5% in increments of 1%. is it possible to adjust this to 40% in increments of 8%.

There is a crisis recovery method in case of bad flash.

    Best Regards Ant

    How *.bin to *.fd ???

I have mod a bios of a Sony Vaio with the "Phoenix Bios Mod Tool 2.14", now I have a "R0160D6_SLIC.bin". On Windows and on DOS can't flash tis bios (invalid image).

Can I rename the "R0160D6_SLIC.bin" to "Z40X64.fd" and but to the USB-flashdrive and flash this with emergency methode (for Sony like Acer, Fn+Esc)?
