I am not sure or clear of what you are asking of me....I will repeat what I already told you: this file cannot be modified....sorry but, this file is impossible to modify
I am almost certain that you asked this question on another forum of which I was on. This file is a ROMPAQ and is impossible to open with any tools that are available to modify it. Sorry, but you will need a loader for this one.
Thanks for the info. Nice to know for sure one way or another. Soft mod works though! I will just have to stick with that then.
Hello again, The question that I just wanted to have to help others was whats the diff between bios mod (for those who can mod bios unlike me) and the advanced method in daz loader. Thats all I wanted to know cause If my bios was capable and did get modded I'd just use opa tool to insert cert and serial key. I did ask in the bios forum but didn't receive a answer that I believe answered my question. But who cares anyhow cause my bios sucks and can't be modded. So I'll continue to use daz or removeWAT which ever is better at the moment, that is. I extremely appreciate your reply and you have cleared things up for me completely concerning my bios. Still searching for daz advanced method answer though. Yes I asked him but he's busy I think. thank you very kindly time surf
A true mod does not fool windows into thinking there is a slic because there really is a slic but a loader fools windows by masking your bios and tricking windows into thinking a slic truly exists when in fact it does not.
Cannot extract bios from exe Hello, I have a problem using the new phoenix tool. My notebook is an FJS Lifebook E8410 Nvidia Graphics, and the Bios is hidden within a executable I cannot extract using teh tools mentioned in the first thread. Here is teh bios link: hxxp://mmm.fujitsu-pc-asia.com/drivers/summer07Vista/bios/E8410/E8410v109.exe It has a slic 2.0 already included. Is there any way to extract this bios to use the tool and insert slic 2.1?
ok I understand what you just told me regarding difference between bios mod and loader. I still would like to know what advanced option in daz loader does. Why are there two options. In enthusiasm surf
Busykid508 How to choose, which slic.bin 2.1 is true for making modd bios, if this slic.bin not in the list. (Suppose for Lenovo in the AcpiTabl.rw slic.bin TC-2R and you do not have it, you use it for the same slic.bin TC-7U and it did modd SLIC bios 2.1). To ask if this is possible explanation. Thank you!
It really does not matter of which one to use...I prefer TC-7U over the others but this personal preference.
Seems to be the hardest question around regarding loader and I don't mind you not knowing. If I could mod my bios I wouldn't want to know either. Thank you surf
