I don't want to increase ram.
I want to this; Windows uses more ram, i have lots of free ram already.(aprx. 70%)

    in other words,

I want RAMs not sitting idly :D

You're creating a problem that doesn't exist. Either run more programs or reduce the ram to 4gb.

A program uses the ram it needs. That's all.

If the ram installed is less than the needed one you face a problem, (disk swapping, less cached things by the OS and so on), but if you have 3x, 4x the ram needed, there isn't no way to make a random program use more of it, and there is no point doing that.

Indeed you have to use a workstationized server, or a patch on desktop version to use more of the theoretical 4GB (practically they are less)

PAE is crippled on windows desktops.

Instead of asking us how to "how to use more efficiently ram for Windows.", please tell us you real problem, your current problem is not realistic.
Right now your asking us for a solution to a guess how to solve the real problem.

Is your computer feeling slow or is there a task your trying to acomplish you can not do?
This is usually why we take alot of time when doing helpdesk, we try to find out the real problem by asking questions they are having and solve it.

If it's Excel opening slow, try not to open to many HDD and CPU intensive programs at the same time and remember that Excel at first start always needs to load some libaries.
Also it may very well be that document that causes the slowdown. It may be corrupt or contain something that needs time to load.

Try to make another excel document and fill it with data you need then save it and open it. See if it does the same.

    I'm sorry again,

I thinking in my own language and try to write in English.

    anyway,

I want to use more efficiently ram for Windows.

    My reason;

I have an excel file 11 mb,

It uses aprx. 390 mb of ram.

I use only this file in my computer. no game, no ......

And everybody knows that "Windows needs RAM for something."

I have lots of free ram (80%)

I want to use more efficiently my free ram for Windows.

Install just the RAM you need, or use the wasted ram as ramdisk then launch the programs from there

Very interesting. Each person tries to use as little RAM as possible, but you want the entire contents copy there. Funny, why?
