How to use Windows 2016 server in a workstation?

    install this driver Intel(R) 82579LM Gigabit Network Connection
    its work as 82579V

    Well, you can see by yourself that your exact card isn't listed in the inf, just fix it

    I did the modified inf above works great. It shows 82579V driver available for install.

    Now I see you included the generic

    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1503

    This obviously works, but was hard to spot with the obfuscated paste you posted earlier.;)

    i have used windows server 2008before and it was faster than ordinary windows..but now when i look at this thread..brrrr so many things to do
    can someone make a checklist perhaps...enable that, disable that and download this to make windows server work :)

    There is nothing to do for most setups, aside disabling the shutdown tracker, the password security and so on. 30 seconds using the MSC

    Few drivers need a small tweak, 5 minutes. If you need the BT just install the thoshiba stack. That's all.

    Nothing to do with trobles seen on older servers

    I have added EDGE from Microsoft-Windows-Internet-Browser-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.14393.0.cab (and langpack).
    Have installed Adobe-Flash-For-Windows-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.14393.0.mum and Adobe-Flash-For-Windows-onecoreuap-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.14393.0.mum with DISM
    Now Flash works in IE11 - only 32-bit from (x86 folder). Flash doesn't work on EDGE or IE11 (x64). How can I make it work on my WS2016?
    No Flash haters, please ))
