I installed WOW on an HP dv6000 exactly as per the step mentioned, I changed the system reserved to R:, then edited the install.bat file correctly, then i placed the wow files in the wow7 folder in the R; drive...... I ran install.bat as an administrator, then rebooted, tried the activation commands, it says license and key installed successfully but windows is not activated, as if there was no SLIC 2.1 I tried repeating the process........nada........ someone help me please
U must run the cmd.exe as elevated process which means go to %systemroot%\System32\cmd.exe -> right click and select "Run As Administrator"
The directions provided are not followable. Firstly, the original link is not available to download WoW7. So I googled it which gave me the latest version which is self installing. (I didn't run it as a self install though and opened it and unzipped the files instead) Secondly, when following these instructions :- 4. On Disk Management, ther will be a partition called "System Reserved". If there isn't, then you can skip to step 6. Right click on it, change drive letter and paths, add, assign the following drive letter: R. In case your system already uses drive R: for something, then use a different unused letter. The partitions on my system are as follows:- (C: ) (System, Active, Primary Partition) (D: ) (Boot, Page File, Crash Dump, Primary Partition) (E: ) (Primary Partition) None are marked as System Reserved, yet (C: ) is marked as "System" and the bootmgr file is located in drive C: There is neither a partition called "System Reserved", nor is there an R: partition. If I right click on drive C: (System) it offers me the 'change drive letter and paths option'. Which then offers 'Add/Change/Remove' 'Add' in turn offers me the option to 'mount in the following empty folder'. The other option of 'Assign the following drive letter' is dimmed and not available. This is running in Admin Mode as secr9tos showed me how. So if I create a folder 'R' - (the only option available) - it lists it as a path (it seems) but does not create a virtual drive. So since I can not assign a drive letter I am stuck. What now?
Guys Wow7 is not working anymore after microsoft released that blocking patch, I hope somebody finds a way to fix it. it seems that microsoft is checking for grub bootloaders, so I would like to test creating a boot image of wow7, anyone know how to burn that wowfloppy_7.01_auto_HP.img?
Daz loader is another trick for injecting SLIC but doesn't works for all motherboards. The problem is for us that our BIOS are EFI or tricky to flash so to us the only SLIC working injector is WOW7, I would like to see a fix soon for us that DAZ bootloader doesn't works.
