    nice one will give this a try tonight.

    can anyone confirm if it's possible to boot using a different OS that way meaning we should have full write access to Windows 7 without any error messages (I dont care about not having access to XP afterwards).

    In case Wow7 will be successful in activating Windows 7, is it possible that Microsoft can detect and remove it via Automatic Updates, just like what happened on Vista SP1?

    edit the batch file and change last line from "exit" to "pause".

    also make sure you are running as admin and have read through the instructions carefully just so you don't miss anything.

    it still doesn't work on mine btw :rolleyes:

    worked flawlessly on my HP tc4400 tablet PC -- activated and everything is perfect. SO much better than messing with my system BIOS. I'm using the Retail RTM btw.

    Yes! I finally got it working. Thanks to damox, I edited the file to read
    Code:
    if exist %%X\bootmgr R:\wow7\bootsectgrldr.exe /nt60 %%X
    Working on my laptop and my PC :D

    Only problem is when my PC starts up, it gets to a message
    Code:
    Starting cmain() ...
    And hangs there for a few minutes :(
    It never used to even say that, but it does eventually start up, still, not ideal. Though I very rarely reboot my PC so I can live with it for now.

    Thank you all :D

    It will work on my Asus P5B Deluxe Wi-Fi AP, or I´ll need a Asus cert?

    Not working here. After installed on C:\ (I don't have any hidden partition) and reboot, I got this error:

    Unrecognized partition table for drive81. Please rebuild it using a microsoft compatible fdisk tool (error=8). Current c/h/s=16383/255/63. Starting cmos...

    then, the floppy drive make strange rumors for 2-3 seconds, boot up windows 7 but nothing...

    I can run the install. But as soon as I try to install the key, it pops up and tells me the key is invalid. Windows 7 64 bit.

    Hey guys,

    Tiny problem:
    Win's installed on C:, boot partition's on B:

    Modified install.bat to work for B:, ran it, worked succesfully

    Got the Cmain() message

    Got to OS selection (i'm dual booting win 7 x64 RTM with vista 32) > selected windows 7

    and it just got stuck at the 'starting windows' screen.

    (a note to anyone else who has problems, you can run uninstall.bat from safe mode successfully)

    any ideas? (Mobo: ASUS P5KSE)

    Thanks, worked for me.

    Used an HP cert on my Dell XPS1530 since wow7 mimics an HP slic 2.1 bios.

    "If you want, you can go to Disk Management again and remove the drive letter R: from the System Reserved partition."

    That's also from the instructions. I'm not sure it would make a difference changing drive letters considering the bootsect was successfully modded.

    but, i'll give it a go. i'll be back, hopefully activated :).
