Title color can be changed by registry settings, watermark and popup will be gone, after you activate the application with donation.
Moderate, can you explain each reg key? Does each one have a use to modify the colour or blur. BTW I donated and it's a great little tool.
There are some Windows native settings in \HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM, which are present even when no AeroGlass is installed: Other settings are added by AeroGlass in both \HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM and \HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM. As BigMuscle said, the best is to read his site guide, backup both keys in \HKLM and \HKCU and then you should alter desired settings according the tables on BigMuscles's site...
Where is the buy and donate buttons? Also, are you planning on release a single installer that does require the whole symbols thing? Windows Update 1 final is already out, so a single-file version should be made. It says that with donation there is no guarantee that the next version will be free for those who donated? So each new patch needs a new donation? Is there a minimum donation to receive all AeroGlass patches/versions in the future without the watermark??? Also, for whatever reason, I can only install it to Program Files (x86) folder because if I install to my user folder, the installation hands at 100% forever and after rebooting nothing happens... I also had UAC turned off.
No, there is no need to "donate for each update". ) For donation, there is a form at Support page. Minimum is 3$ I think (and that will give you 3 activated PCs)... It can be calmly installed to "Program Files..." as the application downloads Symbols to c:\ProgramData\dbg\sym then (If UAC is ON, what is not your case anyway.)
I downloaded and installed W8.1.1 final today ant the build is 17031.Aero Glass is not working even I downloaded and installed the update symbols from @moderate posts.About donations I will wait few days because those security reported holes in Internet Banking System.
AG uses default OS theme even when Shiny Atlas PNG is installed. You should download the symbols by yourself then: 1. Install \SDK\Debuggers feature. 2. Create custom Symbols directory. 3. Copy these files from system32 folder to newly created directory: dwm*.* udwm*.* 4. Cast symchk upon created directory with specification of another directory, where the symbols should be downloaded. (It will be created automatically.) 5. Copy newly acquired symbols to folder "symbols" created within AG installation folder. That's it. Piece of cake...
Hi guy's, I have an small question here. After installing aero and rebooting, a white border around the window frame became visible. Do you have any suggestions on how to remove it or what is causing this? It's a bit of an spoiler. I tried fiddling with the reg options from the site, but this didn't help. The machine is running win8.1_1 pro.
Hi s1ave77, I was using the standard theme. I updated the post. Also just figured out that I used 'TinyWindowsBorders.exe' and apparently that adds an black or white border to the theme. But the problem remains that it can't be removed. At least I don't know how.
It is not a bug, but the feature: ) It is a purpose of "Shining theme atlas" of emphasize contures against standard W8-x-x theme rubbish. Just disable "Shining theme atlas" in registry or edit PNG in Aero Glass directory by Photoshop CC for example and replace white color frame-border with some other you will like by "replace color" function.
