I have an HP 6710b laptop. Ive used windows 7 32bit ( no problems getting it activated with chew-wga ) until today cause i bought more ram , so i want to use 64bit. But i cant get windows 7 activated. Ive tried both 7loader and chew-wga on clean installation , but it didnt work , then i tried wow7 ( without reinstalling ) but it didnt work either. So im wondering if anyone of you guys got it working with a 6710b laptop???
Try uing Daz loader and use his experimental loader activation option to get W7 activated. ( it always works)
First off, reinstall Windows 7 since using CHEW probably bjorked your clean Windows 7 install... Apparently you can "uninstall" CHEW, but it is a pain in the ass to do, and you are much better off doing a fresh install to guarantee you have a clean OS. Then try Daz's loader: http://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/8632 There are 3 options at the bottom of the program to try different loaders. Try the first "default" one (under "soft mod users") by ensuring that "Use the default loader" is selected then clicking [Install] (make sure you run the Daz's program as administrator)...the PC will automatically restart... If (after rebooting) that does not activ@te Win7, try the 2nd option ("Use older loader") and click [Install] (and wait for the PC to reboot). If the second option does not work either, then try the 3rd one. One of them should activ@te Windows 7 for you. Dont use CHEW unless you have no other way to "activ@te" your Windows 7, it is fake activ@tion. It puts your PC into a perpetual trial mode and just disables the activ@tion timers/nags and the software protection service(s). It makes it look like it is activ@ted, but it is not genuine activ@tion...
Thank you very much! The experimental loader worked =) Ive tried many activations but this was the only one that worked... and it stands that it is for Ultimate only but i got Professional and it worked for me
The source to WOW7 looks a whole lot like it was ripped off from HaZaR's original loader. I just thought I'd mention it.
it's work for me too , hp540, thanks alot HotCarl, sorry i cut of the link, couz i got not enough post count to post link
You better check with HP for any updated BIOS. I know 6730s (I bought in Sept 2008) gets one updated with SLIC 2.1. HP never informs their customers anywhere for this. If yours is still in the market for sale, you may be a lucky one.
