totally wrong.. computer BIOS.bin is for a programmer to write on chip.. keep dreaming of the magical SMC.bin

Hi. I have hp zbook studio g5 with no password lock but persistence module permanently enabled. I dumped the content of mx25l256 in wson package and replaced “VSS2” Store” with a blank one from downloaded on product support page bios. Now computrace is permanently disabled but laptop asks to restore MUD data, however “restore” button is not active.

HP8570p got finally a working MB for my 8570 from ebay but locked should i give it a try with the mazzif tool i bought some years ago ? but it is stated as not supported **70 models. br max Edit, no success with HPBR as expected, if i need to remove the chip, is there a tutorial i can follow for reprogramming and info for the needed files ? Update: no more need, got password from seller.....

no this was all, after reinsert alot of errors occured, but after a bios reflash everthing was fine. no lock anymore. Thanks
If anyone needs this information: I flashed bios using the same version as the one I took VSS2 part from, using hp application and it restored everything.
Great work with the bios utility, I have used it to reset some bios from old EliteBooks 8440 & even 8460p. Among them there was a EliteBook 8470p but the unlock tool did not work with it. I am very greatfull for the bios utility that you made because of your father & the was very nice & helpfull so he must be proud that you could do that. This is my first day here & I found you from the utility tool, the notebook works great but the bios is locked with a password. My sister is using it & I downloaded the newest bios for the 8470p but it did not install because it wanted a pass from the old bios & that I dont know who knows it. Some in here sended you an uuid etc & I dont know how that would help but here is all the numbers from my EliteBook 8470P. uuid: 6a33aec0-afc8-4580-87fa-8adca2c5e30a serial number: CNU32498JB & productnumber: B2G38EC#UUZ Great work & thanks /M
thank you @LatinMcG, the modded backup work, today have desoldered bios chip (clip not work very well), erased and reprogrammed chip. At boot, pressing f10, access bios without problem, restored default setting, and TPM chip reset. please, you could explain me better the VSS and NVRAM point (If possible with photos), because i don't find it in uefitool. thank you in advance, and for unlock notebook.
