Dear Mazzif, Greetings I have Elitebook Folio 9470m and need to reset BIOS password, can you please guide or confirm if you have some utility i can try Thanks a lot Khubaib
I have looked at the 9470m and I cant find the BIOS chip location. It may be a different package like a 32pin chip. I am only equipped to do 8 and 16pin chips atm.
I havent had had hands on with this model, but I beleive my method above will also work. Just pad the BIOS dump with my pad file and write it back to the chip. Then reprogram system information. Should be good.
Hi Mazzif Can you please tell me if it possible to clear the bios password of an Elitebook 2570p ?? Regards
HI Mazzif, is it possible to remove the bios PW from an Zbook15 G3? - I think i located the bios-eeprom but i cant find the data sheet for it - it is labeld as 25B128CSIG - the label on Mainboard next to the chip reads JBIOS1 There is also a Winbond 25Q64FV next to the RAM-Socket - labeld on Mainboard as UE3. I could not read any of those with your Raspi-Wire setup. The VCC in the Datasheet for the 25Q64FV states VCC as 3.3V. Do you think i have to daisy-chain the /hold pin with the VCC pin as it is stated on the flashrom.com page? Edit: succesfully "cleand" an 9470m - the problem was indeed the VCC PIN - but - not that i had to daisy chain the vcc pin with the /hold pin - but had to unplug the VCC line from the raspi + the cmos battery from the mainboard and plugin the AC Adapter from the notebook, without turning it on (over current protection from the eprom, since the vcc did not only supply power to the vcc pin, but the rest of the mainboard too). After this, i could succesfully hexedit the bios dump from the 9470m with a clean VSS and flash it back. Now to the Zbook15 G3 - will report back asap
