Thanks for that, the .sig file and using the F23 you gave me worked like a charm.
Though when I used pheonixtools2.14 it didn't give me a .sig file (made it when it was "working..." but deleted it afterwards), I had to use the one that you had in the F23.
Any idea on what I was doing wrong?

.bin.dec? nah, that stayed. That's how I got to the HP recovery the first time. though without the .sig it didn't go through
Oh well, it works I'm happy.
    Thanks again.

    1670103C,0166CF33.BIN

u have to decrypt it with phoenixtool.. dont forget the .sig
0166C use that for 01670.BIN and .sig from phoenixtool

made the hp_tools with the latest sp61101
    used F.33 and F.66 (0166CF33)
got the .bin and .sig rename it to 01670.bin .sig

did what you said in previous post ((rename the 0###.bin.dec to 0###.bin and also the RSA.SIG to 0###.sig
put them in usb HEWLETT-PACKARD\BIOS\Current\.bin and .sig
take HDD, battery and power cord out.
plug in usb hold WIN B keys plug in power and press power while still holding the 2 keys..))

nothing happened still stuck with blinking and flash is not even working or blinking

i was thinking about what you said ((bad chipset solder ( reflow BGA in youtube)))
how can i know that for sure??

update: i downloaded the file did what you said and got (nothing)
it's not responding to the flash at all

how did the pc become bricked ? ive seen a few hps with thin pcb board warp on heat and cool and causing he BGA to desolder a pin or 2.

if u reflow with uneven heat the warpign is bad and makes the solder balls a glob mess of solder = shorted .. needs reballing likely

i have a dv5 with ati chip that i could not fix so i likely will take chip off and reaball it. just for fun.. asi dont think it will last long due to thin board warp issue.

also sometimes the cpu socket needs reflow

    HP G62t-350 CTO

Need help with my HP G62t-350 CTO laptop

Black screen, orange wifi led, and caps lock blink code 2 (bios corruption)
    Rev # is 1426

I tried using sp52604.exe by extracting and inserting 1425F37.fd into phoenixtools but all I get is a DUMP folder, BIOS0.BIOS, and BIOS5.BIOS. So I tried renaming the .fd to 1425.bin and 1426.bin along as other extensions (.rom, .sig, etc) but it didnt work. Also attempted 01425/01426 without success. Everytime I try to flash (win + B, 1gb usb drive with HP support UEFI) the laptop will read the usb and beep accordingly but screen remains black and caps lock led starts to blink again.

    Thanks in advance!

Ok I made the UEFI diag on the usb and put the 1425/1426 .bin and .sig files.
I tried to flash but the usb was only read once (1 beep) and after 1-2 mins the caps lock led blinks code 2 again
Sometimes when I try to flash the usb is read twice (2 beeps) and the led starts blinking after the 2nd beep
I have already tried it with HDD and cd drive removed but still no success

    Need help with DV7-3112sa

    Hi,
I have been trying to fix issue with corrupt Bios on a Hp Pavilion DV7-3112sa or the last week with no success.
I found this forum last night and tried suggestions from previous pages.

    DV7-3112sa

under the battery shows that it is: 3639

I have used the Phoenix Tool on the bios bin file that I downloaded from Hp website but it doesnt seem to have made a .sig ile.

I have tried the 3639.bin file by itself on the hp tools usb pen in the right folders under the Bios folder but did not work.

win + B ---> Beeps for a few seconds and powers off. turns itself back on and to the same 2 leds blinking & blank screen.

So to me it looks like it searches the usb. it doesn't find the right file it needs and restarts.

    Any advise please?

    Finally got it working

    LatinMcg you are the best

    what i did was:
    1- reset the cmos battery
2- power up the laptop with the usb (HP_tools) ===> still the same but no more blinks
3- removed the ram (i tried to replace it or switch its place before but nothing happened)
4- installed a new ram (after resetting the cmos)
5- power up the laptop and Voila it's working
6- updated to bios to F.66 and created an hp_tools partition on the hdd (for future problems)

so basically the HP beeps and blinks was just bulls**t as it turns out just resetting the cmos and removing the ram will solve the issue

likely its the bad chipset soldering .. reflow is hard on this model.
it has a thin board and it warps which makes pressure on chip solder which mixes up and is no good.

bios hardluy ever goes corrupt overnight... usualy its the chip issue.
