    I've found solution for you, yesterday I had finished recovering of my HP Pavilion dv7-4120er (XE276EA) after switching graphics mode from Hybrid to dGPU. Please let me know in a reply if you still need to recover your BIOS

    Oh Mr LatinMcG how i need your help. Bricked up a friends HP 2000-2d19WM Rev. 188B while switching to windows 7 64 bit from the win 8 64 it came with. Of course I deleted the partitions and wiped the drive. Did all 3 scans on find and mount and returned nothing. Cant run the 0118b.fd through phoenix tool. About to go buy another one to pray its the same revision and snag the files. lol. is there any help you can offer me? im a total noob to bios repair and recovery. If i were to order the recovery disc set from hp would the proper stuff come included? i feel i have a good grasp on the procedure if only i could some how obtain the proper .bin and .sig file. I noticed when the bios flashed it went from a f.37 to f.34, could the f.34 file be an issue and should i be trying to find a f.37 one? Im at my wits end with this thing and kinda dont want to give her my Sony Vaio VGN NW130J to replace this bricked pile of HP. Thanks you soo much in advance for ANY words of wisdom wise one :worthy:

    sometimes you have to put all the filenames in the usb from platform

    and im wrong as it only shows 01805.bin in platform.ini
    since this one comes with win7 or 8.. use win7 method from first post (if it was win8 only type it would be in the EFI not Hewlett-Packard\Bios\) but it is a WIN7 optional so uses old method

    try newer bios than F.15

    Hello everyone and thank you very much for the data. I have a HP DV6-6174LA laptop with the corrupt BIOS, I followed the steps in post 1 but I can not flash memory (prepared with the HP UEFI Tool) to be read by the laptop, I use the tool phoenixtool251 in the file 01649F21.bin which comes from the sp54724.exe file (the BIOS version was F21) and it generates the following files, 01649F21.bin; 01649F21.bin.DEC; RSA.SIG; SLIC.LOG and DUMP archive, I tried copying all the files to the indicated routes but nothing happens, I'm missing some step?, what are the correct steps with de phoenixtool251?
    Help me please, I hope someone can help me...... :)

    I forget the rev is REV: 3590-110, and sorry for my english

    its 2 bios files depending on model of board/videocard.
    from file platform.ini

    [MULTI_FD]
    Flag=1
    FD#01=PCI,0,0,0,0,FFFFFFFF,17051022,01649S21.bin
    FD#02=PCI,0,0,0,0,FFFFFFFF,96011022,01649F21.bin

    red= ATi pci vendor id
    blue= video card device id
    green= file to use to rename

    however if nothing works... likely its chipset needing reflow (reheat with hot air to resolder)

    Thank you for the reply, and I think the fault is not in the chipset because before the problem I did a bios upgrade (stupid decision) with the bios from the official website of HP (F.21 version), after this operation the laptop not booted, then I prepared a usb memory with bios files from the official website and the laptop only booted with the usb memory, then, once inside the OS (win 7 ultimate 64 bits) I installed an alternative bios called sp54724_NWL_UlkMenus_Fantrip_ByCamiloml.exe (second stupid decision) after that the laptop never more booted or started even with the usb memory, I try many ways and many configurations in usb memory, but do not read my usb flash memory and only blinck the caps lock 5 times.
