Done that and the label under battery indicates 1444-110 for the Regv so renamed the files to 01444.bin and sig and copied them to those 3 folders. powered up laptop with usb stick in laptop flashing caps lock and no activity on tegh flash drive. Tried holding Win+B and pressing power button down while still holding those 2 keys. No difference still flashing caps lock

I noticed that the flash drive does not even seem to be getting power on the USB port i.e. the activity/power light is not lit. A USB in line monitoring stick does show 5V on the port but only a .03Amp draw with the memory stick in the monitoring stick

try different brand usb and all ports.
drain power of board with button 30 seconds.. no power cord or battery.
then plug in usb hold win B, plug in power and press power button 3 secs
keep holding win B 20 secs.

or we try different version bios.

Tried 3 different USB flash drives and all usb ports, Did the drain one first and no difference. I Do we know if the G62-327CA is even capable of responding to the WIN B and power combination? Some laptops I read elsewhere that are simply not capable of emergency bios recovery. am wondering if in fact this old laptop is suffering from a well known video chip issue which requires reflowing of the solder under the graphics chip. Only reference I found to a continuous 3 sec blinking light referred to CPU issues.

Upon closer inspection this laptop has an AMD Radeon IGP 1031 graphics chip rather than Nvidia so I may be barking up the wrong tree here regarding graphics chip being the cause of the 1 blink caps lock light.

    Hi to all,
I need help about my Notebook HP Envy 17-j110el Win8.1 native, upgrade to Win10, this is my story of the disaster:
The HP recovery disk have a bug for the recovery HDD, and a workaround in set the BIOS date prior 2015, so i've set to the 01/01/2014 and the first time is gone good!!! NB ready to use Win8.1, now i've changed the HDD to SSD, same thing...enter BIOS, modified the date, save and exit...and black screen!!

Two blinks at caps lock key!! Bios corrupt. Info from HP support site.
Step done with some usb drives, 2.0, 3.0, uSD
Downloaded and create some versions of bios, the pen have the folder /Hewlett-Packard and /HP.
Removed any HDD, Battery ext and internal, put the drive in a USB port, press and hold Win+B, Power ON!! release power on after 2-3 sec.
With some drive, led blink 2/3 sec..but nothing in the screen...

What can I do? Any other things to do? i've forgot something?

    Anto
