i have a HP MSS EX470, i want to upgrade to 3.0... how can i do this with out getting the disks from HP?
Hello, Could you kindly tell me what mass storage driver you were using in vmware to get rid of the BSOD when you were setting up your HP MSS vm? Thanks Aaron
Interesting... I tried the IDE driver that vmware uses stillg et a bsod.... i wonder if it is because you used virtualpc, and i am on vmware....
Many thanks to Sebus and other contributors to this thread. Using the snapshot image of version 3.0, I'm runnning on my GA-EP45-UD3R, activated and completely stable, backing up my Macs (hackintoshes). MSS features are much richer than the vanilla WHS. I would have liked to put this on my Dell PowerEdge SC440 which has a purchased copy of WHS on it, but modifying the DMI on that seemed like too much trouble. Thanks again!
That is the beauty, you absolutely do NOT need to modify DMI, in real Dell machine you will already have Dell SLP string, so just use oembios changer (Win XP stickies) with Dell W2K3 oembios.* set Job done sebus
You downloaded part28? h t t p://rapidshare.com/files/365158166/SnapEX47x-v3.part28.rar Remove spaces from http
so I've got it installed with FatFish's method. When I vm'ed it it worked great, but physically, it is asking to be activated and but never is able to connect to microsofts servers for some reason. I have a VLK key I could use, but that method is out the window for this method. Any ideas on why it's not connecting (and yes it can access the internet) or what I can do? Thanks
I do not see why it would not work... it is Win Server 2003 after all It works in Vmware, so why dont't you just try the snapshot image? sebus
