put this iso for Mediasmart EX47X Update 3 Eng - Server Recovery Disk .iso i need for ex 485 not for ex47x if i download ex 47x its working for ex 485
Hi. I was wondering if somebody was successful in restoring their Mediasmart ex485/487 with that iso from Mega? I`ve tried Factory reset on mine but I`m getting stuck at the setting up the backup when you are running the whs connector on your PC for the first time.
How did you fix this? My HP mediasmart stopped booting and after getting the vga connector add on its hanging in the bios at ‘verifying dmi pool data’ which I’m guessing is because the embedded recovery drive died. But I can’t find a way to disable that in the bios.
Turned out it wasn’t the recovery drive. The main boot drive (ssd) was detecting fine but is not working and didn’t give the usual missing boot loader error - possibly because it tries to boot off the recovery drive which is also broken I think. Swapped in the cloned boot drive that younger me in his wisdom created after I had successfully installed Windows 10 headless off USB and it booted straight up.
