I followed your instructions...using slic dumpkit to check from the advance tap. Ho Ho Ho. SLIC table not found.....my goodness. I think I can forget it. Back to f.07 bios....unless someone has the f.16 modded. Haiz
Wow! thats new, at least to me. Meaning even if it is stated in hp site that this f.16 bios is for winxp/win7 environment, I cannot OEM activate to win7? I am getting to see the light .....possible this bios will not support OEM win7, rather its just a routine bios upgrade that support retail win7?
I have a HP G60 and it came with Vista Home Prem. I've used the latest BIOS found on HP's site (under Vista driver section) and updated my notebook with it. I believe it's F.52 A and according to Slic Dump and countless and successful OEM installations of Win 7, this BIOS from HP has Slic 2.1 embedded in it. Might not be the case for you but for me it updated my BIOS accordingly.
There is a new BIOS version F.19 for the HP mini 110. Has anyone managed to activate Seven? Is there a modded version?
I try to install this bios with AFUDOS but after reboot I have still the old one. Can anybody help me, please ?
This happen on my HP Mini 110, it is now showing the Compaq bios screen.. Could you please tell me how to reprogram the DMI data to dispay the HP Bios screen back? Thanks
Hi, to regain the HP screen at boot, you need to look for an utility called dmi236.exe (google for it) , right now I do not remember which company build it, once you download it, you need to boot from DOS (either from a USB Floppy Disk or a USB Stick) and then apply the following commands: dmi236 /sm "Hewlett-Packard" (including both ") dmi236 /sp "HP Mini 110" dmi236 /bm "Hewlett-Packard" dmi236 /bp "HP Mini 110" dmi236 /cm "Hewlett-Packard" once applied, reboot the netbook and recheck the activation, under Vista/7 there should be no problems, just check under XP because it uses DMI info for SLP. Regards
Hello Does someone have access to the modded bios as the link in the modded bios thread no longer works.
