The laptop is only a week old and I have pulled the key with magic jelly bean. I would like to have it as close to possible to the original . I have made the four DVD back up disks but I would rather just not use the bloat ware..... Mmmm and not to forget that the three year drop off and pick warranty problems if they find it has been fiddled with pirate software. And to buy another copy of windows 7 when I have a working copy just goes against my principles. If any one has any other ideas on a work around, I'm listening. T
Then dont use the bloatware, uninstall or just let it be.. Whats your problem really ? You havent told us the real problem nor asked us anything Did it come with windows 7 ? If so just download/install windows 7 whatever version and use the key ?
Hi, It came with windows 7 Home premium OS 64 Please see post #59 of this thread........... Read from that point on . "I have just bought a new Hp laptop and would like to do a clean install as I made the partions Dyanmic and after doing that wanted to install ubuntu along side but can't "
No, thought it was just a normal install as the others, just would be easier with the key that I got from the "Magic Jelly Bean" and it being legit So Its back to the RTM then. Thanks for the Heads up Hazar
This was never finished uploading. Big controversy and or license issues over at chinese site. It got shutdown and all files deleted. I have the chinese x64 version all we need to do its add language pack, Uploading right now.
Daz, that is not always true Normally OEM CD/DVD just contains OS system and a few logos wallpapers e.c.t, but some companies have recovery partitions as you know they will put bloatware back when resoring to original state, even worst HP used to be bad lets you get only one chance to make recovery dvd's and they are just like images of your system bloatware again
Rename them to something completely off the wall like "golk75 user contracts" or "compilations of webmaster EULAs" or something like that and have it password protected and just host the password for it here at MDL. That will greatly increase your odds on it getting deleted. If you ever heard of a group/company now called Rockersteam International, they make a bunch of custom OSes and they do the same thing when uploading it to prevent it from getting deleted by the host.
I wrote earlier in this thread that i downloaded and tested.............. SHA-1 matches the ones he posted but there's no oemlogo, no wallpaper or anything that'll remind you of HP. Read my post again..
