I started a thread, in "Application Software" (I'd link to it, but the forum software tells me that I can not), But it seems that this is a more appropriate place. I didn't think that this was going to be this difficult. A lot of the .iso files I've found don't want to load on this machine They do the initial boot, but then demand the location of the command interpeter. I suspect that's because it's a SATA DVD ROM. I'd swap out for a regular IDE, but there isn't an IDE port on this motherboard! Or, the tools that are in most of the threads here appear to be for laptops. This is a desktop model, with AMI BIOS. And, after I do the motherboard, I still have to do the hard drive. My USB pen drive boots just fine, so that's good. I just need to know what to stick on it, and then what to run.
I have the opportunity to work on another one, but still lack the tools that I posted about in the previous post. HP was a bust, their email bounces, and I could not create an account. And so, I must rely on the generosity of strangers. Any help?
