Best person to ask would be dannyres. He is the first person I know to get the mod done.
edit: it should work without a mod as it is a stock option in dv5s, I have a intel 5100 in mine. You can peform upgrades (stock) to them without editing the bios. I have added bluetooth and a fingerprint reader to mine so far and no bios editing has being required, only one upgrade left for me to do, TV tuner. And your link is broken, if your bios is upto date you will have revision 16 correct.

Thanks your advice, I edited the BIOS link. When I want to use the Intel card, the laptop wont boot, and an error black screen appear, with "104-Unsupported wireless network device detected. System halted. Remove device and restart." Yesterday I sent a mail to dennyres, (I read on an another forum, he can PCI-E patch any HP BIOS), but he won't answered yet. :( The last BIOS in mine, its F37. It is a strange thing, some dv5's come out with Intel wifi link 5100 WLAN card, but this card is blacklisted in my dv5's BIOS. I dont understand it. Is it caused by that my lappy is an AMD chipset?
