Bios HP pavilion F59.A (modded by 911medic)
    Many Thanks to Him !

I have already posted the modded bios 30CCF59 with slic 2.1 in a request thread...

the original post and link here : http://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/68490

Your method is a bit more complicated ...
For me : No need to use the Dos tools to flash it...

extract the modded archive with winrar, in the extracted folder you see a 30CCF59.WPH file (it's the modded bios)

Copy it in the Swinflash or Winflash64 folder (according to your OS is X86 or x64) with renaming it into "bios.wph"...

it seems that the original exe utility does the copy of the wph bios file into "bios.wph" automatically , not if you are running winflash from a folder directly.

then run Swinflash.exe and follow the instructions ... it's working
i flashed it on win7 RTM without any problems ...

you can use "R/W eveything" utility to verify if slic 2.1 OK after the flash...

finally, run the 2 know commands to install cert (HP) for me and the oem key

    status : activated offline ...

I just read a lot that peoples laptops were getting bricked if they didn't flash through DOS. I just presented what worked for me.

Feel free to use whatever method works best for you. Again thanks to all the posts and people who have spent time to help me out (even indirectly).

No problem for me with Dos, just i never recommand dos flash to beginners.
Only a few people are now familiar with the "old" dos commands.

big manufacturers like HP provide exe file , with a graphic winflash utility that work's very well with win7 or other windows, i never killed motherboards with flashing original HP bioses under windows xp vista.

you can also kill your laptop with flashing a bad bios (modded or untested) or if you simply use bad dos commands or bad flash parameters.

i know that dos is always needed to mod some protected or special bioses.

I just want to bump this thread because this procedure was able to flash my HP Pavilion dv6624ca laptop. It used the same BIOS as the dv6663, which can be confirmed by looking if the BIOS updates on the HP page for both products link to the same BIOS update file.
It was the first guide I saw here, and it's been extremely successful.
    Thanks!
