Did you use the windows tool 'HP BIOS Reset' to 'Make All', or just the DOS set of tools? The Windows version for key creation still offers slightly better model support.

Depends... Is the error you received "laptop not supported (ffff)"or "BIOS does not support this feature."

Hello Mazzif. This tool works great! I have looked from page 1 to 23 in this thread and I see it mentioned once but is there any chance you will be adding support for the 6560b? PM me I may be able to give you some help.

I would go with a Shotgun or Make All.. 60 series are supported in other lines. Give it a go.

The DOS tools are a port of my windows tools, it offers ease of use. Although they share a lotin ccommon there are still some differences. If one set does not work, try the other. I'm glad for your success.

    Hi Mazzif,

first of all, thank you very much for your work!

I don't know how the BIOS got a password protection but one thing is for certain, I cannot access the BIOS of my HP EliteBook 2710p. I bought it back in 2007 and I tried to get rid of the password protection (it wasn't protected at first, just appeared later) several times over the last years (including removal of CMOS Battery, which is useless with Pro/EliteBooks I heard afterwards )

I followed your guide to force a bios flash but the BIOS recovery doesn't seem to be implemented in my 2710p (Win + B). Using your Windows and DOS tools didn't help me either because what ever I do, the 2710p isn't supported. The exact code is 30C8.

It would be sooo great if you could PLEASE add support for the 2710p (30C8) PLEASE.

    Thank you very much!

hello Mazzif, I've successfully updated my 4330s BIOS (to 68srr ver f.41) by force but it still says notebook not supported, I tried the shotgun.bat file of course but nothing happens, I'm the one stalking you on youtube too by the way  so if you could please help me! as I've said before, you can use my laptop as guinea pig giving me instruction if you want haha.

oh by the way, the usb boot creator didn't work for me and had to do it with ultraiso.

It's important to note here, if your using the DOS set of tools to unlock or using the Windows utility to create keys and then try to unlock. Also if at anytime the error "BIOS does not support this feature " is displayed. I have not tested any other utility to use with my img file. If USB Image Utility failed, what was the error or issue? I really need to get rid of the windows platform and get all the support it offers into the DOS version and have one solution but I haven't had the time.. Happy Friday everyone.

I used both and it failed with both, first I gathered the bios info, then I logged into windows and clicked on make all, after that I restarted again and used shotgun.bat. the second time, after flashing my bios to the latest version I collected the bios' info using wmic in cmd, pasted it on the tool and clicked make all, restarted and executed the "all" feature, it still said something about an user called **.******** or something like that, also that my notebook didn't support that. nothing about my bios version.

well I put the hard disk where I was going to record your image on in an external reader and connected it through usb to my laptop, your utility didn't find it so I had to open the img with ultraiso and install it on the usb drive. it's rather simple.

I think there's a portable version around so there's no need to apply a crack or anything. I still don't know why it didn't find my external hard drive, it found the pen drive, but I don't have it on the boot sequence so I had to put a hard drive with your program.

This is the important part, if the error is "BIOS does not support this feature" this is usually an indication that we need to force update the BIOS so that we can unlock. (Usually)

    Options...
