Hi all. I have a 6530b that has an administrator password on it that I am desperately trying to remove. The entire system is locked. I can't get in to the bios, boot from ANY device, nothing. I found the unlock tool in this thread but I do not have the UUID. when I press F1, i can get the serial number but there is no UUID. How can I get the UUID so i can unlock this thing? again, I cannot boot from any device on this machine. I do have the hard drive that came with it, is it stored anywhere in Windows files or maybe the registry? Thanks a lot -Robbie
Unfortunately this sounds like a power-on password. My tools do not work with that type of protection. We need to be able to boot. Even if you could boot to the HDD only, we could do something. Without that basic functionality even having the UUID will do you no good.
Just curious but my uuid is nothing but the letter f. I have a 8770w. Not sure if this is causing the program to fail.
