ok , is it possible to reset password on elitebook 840 G1 ? anybody did it ? or buy bios chip/ask hp support ., only ?
how to reset bios password for elitebook 820 G1 ? I tried changing bios chip but it started to show "warning machine is not in committed state". mpm was locked(UUID was not default(fff) so i couldn't unlock mpm). EDIT: I will try to create a bios brute-force software.(BiosConfigUtility64.exe) Generating passwords using HPQPswd64.exe will be little bit slow, does anyone know what encryption method/format bios passwords are stored in ? EDIT: Seems like you can use /cspwd:"Password.bin" /nspwd:"" to set/reset password. but! you will need to know your old bios password. /cspwd: = current bios password /nspwd: = setting new bios password You send these properties(/cspwd - /nspwd ) to BiosConfigUtility.exe and it compares two encrypted strings....You can reverse engineer BiosConfigUtility.exe software and get bios encrypted password. -- working on it
Dear Mazzif, I have a Elitebook 8570p and I want to remove the password of the bios. Non of your links and video's seem to be working. How can I reset the password? Regards,
Im sorry...70 Series laptops are not sported by my tools. Neither are the G1. Laptops with 'Committed State' errors can be corrected with DMIFit tools.
Yes...HP has nerfed my tools with their updates. I have not found a solution to either update my tool set, or force a downgrade.
Please Help me I have hp 6530b and i want bios administrator password, how can i get or how can reset password. Please guide me.
amazing tool and unlocked my 2560p BIOS just fine. I used the DOS tools only and a old macbook sata HD that i set up with the img file on a spare windows PC. thanks a bunch. there's another small typo the 2560p is listed as a probook in the selection menu when it actually is a ELITEbook
Hello mazzif I found a copy (very hard to find it) and run it against HP EliteBook 8560p... Although in every thread I read this particular model is known as supported but actually, when I run the utility this model is not shown... The img file is dated 5 Jun 2015... Can you guide me further? Thank you very much Theodore
Hey Mazzif it seems the file has been removed from MEGA. Could you please re-upload it? I'll name my first born after you!
hi mazzif how to reset my hp folio 9470m bios password. My ssd disabled in bios menu how to enable my ssd
Can someone point to me to the file; where can i download it? I am searching the web over and over.... have myself (bios-)locked out of a hp elitebook 8460p :-( :-( Any help is appreciated
Theodore, thank you very very much If I stumble over the file you need I will post it here at once. Searching for it.....
thank you for the utility. I have a Folio 9470m and I have tried to make it working with this utility. The aim is to remove the BIOS password. Unfortunately it did not work. Anyone else has had any luck with this model?
mazzif My grandson has set a bios password on his HP 6455b and I can't get past it. Am I right in thinking that if I remove the hard drive it will eventually find the USB drive and boot from that? I would be very grateful if you could confirm for this old codger! Tony
Mazzif Further to my last posting, now fixed it. For anyone else's benefit it seemed to let me into the bios setting page after removing the hard drive and booting with F10 held down. Not too sure about that because I did so much but certainly taking out the drive was the break through. And it certainly was an "input bios administrator's password" prompt I was getting. Thanks to all contributors to this useful forum. Tony
Hey Seems like the Mega File is down :/ Would be happy if you or somebody would upload the latest version. Thanks!
