this worked for me on an HP Compaq 2230s. 1. had to update the BIOS from the HP (instructions are in this thread) 2. build the shotgun database from windows as DOS mode wasn't working back read a bit to find the tool thanks to Mazzif for this!!

Hi, I need help for HP EliteBook 840 G3 ... F9 for Boot by USB-Stick is working ... But ... In the Bios is UEFI + Secure Boot adjusted (Windows 10 work) - so the stick with HPBR is not booting ... How to make the SMC.bin itself (Serial number, the UUID of the device available) Thanks

Hello! How to reset power on password? I got second hand Hp omen 15-5000no laptop what is behind power on password. When I start this laptop its immediately says: "enter administrator password or power on password. " And nobody dont knows that. Is there any solutions to reset that bios password and power on password? Hp support dont want to help and warrant is over anyway so its not the solution in this case, hp say you must change whole motherboard, I dont belive its only way to open it / reset to factory settings... and thats why I just get hint to come here and ask, so here I am So any help from here maybe? I`m really, really greatful if somebody could help!

I have a probook 6570b here so i have the same problem i change the motherboard no SN ID .... The tool says no compatible model.... can any help me ?
3 questions: 1) Will this support the probook 6545B and 6555B models? 2) I have already tried SMC files from HP for these, does this mean that your tool can't help me? 3) I take it I can create the file required to reset the TPM/PAssword on a different PC as the 6555 I have wont boot up due to BIOS password but I have access to two other laptops I can use? Also, can someone provide a download link please as I can't seem to find a valid one?
Another question. Can the tool create a file that you can use like HP's SMC.bin files in the event that bios password prevents booting up at all? Or a BIOS bin file and signature file for 68DTM version F.06 that i can flash using HP UEFI diags system.
