I thought you did not exist ... that you were just a myth ... I came to this forum following the trail of your name!!!! (Just kidding). Thank you for your kind help, if you could do it, I would be very grateful. I have a HP Folio 1040 G2 ... it had a short circuit and stopped working both, the network and the sound. With some difficulty I found a MB in China but they did not tell me it had the bios with a password. The merchant promised me help in removing the password, he did not. I have tried to record from CHIP BIOS of the short circuited MB without removing it, I was not able to record anything. I have not succeeded neither with the EZP2017 nor with the CH341A. Both programmers Works as I tested both using onother CHIP BIOS (HOLTECK) but this time removing it from the MB. I saved the information, erased it and write it back again with no problems. Do I need to remove the BIOS CHIP from the MB as LatinMcG suggested? Will it work? Do you need serial number and product number? Regards
I appear from time to time when I sense a great need lol =D. Like most people, I get busy with life. But I do poke in from time to time. You are welcome, and I hope I can help. Yes I can produce a flashable bin file that is password free. Yes I do need a Serial (10 chars) and SKU (product number, 11 Chars). Just pop it in, and I'll upload your file. The only hangup is going to be...your system is going to have to detect that chip. My only experience is with using the Raspberry Pi hardware and my own handmade cables using a blue Pomona brand SOIC 8 (or 16) clip. I really cant speak to anything else because I don't use them, although Latin and a few others have great success with these other kits. I do these all the time and never need to remove the chip. But do try having the laptop AC adapter plugged in before you attempt a read/write. This is key for many models (but not all) -Cheers
Something went wrong... Thank you very much: (Its an honour) Which Raspberry Pi hardware do you recommend?
Hi, i've got a Elitebook8470p with a password protected bios. Serial: CNU319BXKZ UUID: 18B9D92611B8E211A306CE187F1920E1 Bios Version 68ICF Ver. F. 40 Can anyone provide me with instructions or smc.bin to get into the bios? Regards
HI all, struggling with a 850G1 atm. I cant unlock the MPM with the FSCM > SCM.bin - always Command handled unsuccesfully. I need to enter the MPM since i get an error message about MUD data not being valid while MPM is locked. Any Ideas? Do i have to change the UUID to FFFFFFFF from the bios dump and reflash it to be able to enter the MPM-Unlocked state?
trick to flashing on board is add 3.3 v to vcc pin. (current draw) the ezp2013 needs testmode signing on win 10. if new bin file gives u black screen, try clean ME with same version. Win-raid has some guides n dloads.
