So I scanned this forum and many others for the last few days. Does not seem to be a clear answer on the 6470b bios lock.
    A)Is it doable?
    B) If so what if the method?

I found one link here asked by @alyssa101 and a reply by @koosknlo but the reply was for a method for the 6530b https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/hp-probook-6470b-bios-password-removal.76469/
But no confirmation that it indeed works for 6470b?
Is my only method manual chip programming :( ( i would rather avoid the $ investment of buying a rasberry pi and all the acessories)

Hi Maziff. your tool has helped many people, though it looks like am one of the few exceptions. Pllease help me reset password for HP 4330s Bios ver. 68SRR Ver. F.41 Release Date: 05/22/2013. When I use HPBR, it says not supported. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi, Maziff.
Your tool has helped many people, though it looks like I am one of the few exceptions.
    Please help me reset password for HP 6730b laptop;

BIOS locked boot from DVD and USB, and locked the wireless hardware. I cannot change it. It only boot from hard drive.
How do I reset the BIOS password? and make WiFi unlock, and change boot order, etc.

I listed the information as following:

    System ID: 30DD
Processor Type: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU
    SKU Number: KE718AV
    ROM Date: 03/19/2009
ROM BIOS Version: 68PDD Ver. F.0D
    Video BIOS Revision: INTEL 1625
    Keyboard Controller Version: 96.19
    Identifying Number: SGH91509BZ
    UUID: 7B99F58F-2451-11DE-8313-2A32420E0052

Need to bypass the password on the bios. Anyone help? Thanks in advance!

Why is it named HP+BIOS+Password+Reset+04-11-16 ?? It is still the same old 2013 version that doesn't support any newer HP models.
Whoever wrote this program should update it to support also newer models. I'm sure everyone wold be very happy then.

I just got off the phone with HP and they have a new policy where they don't provide .bin files anymore. I'm not sure what to do...

Seems like HP no longer honors any requests to create SMC.BIN files to reset bios passwords

I have a few HP 6560B Im trying to remove the password from, HP said they dont do this anymore as its against their policy

I can confirm, HP doesn't provide smc.bin any more. Looks like for newer models, replacing or programing the bios chip might be the only option.

Today i as well got ignored from HP for the smc.bin file.
So i will just replace the chip , i am not going to buy another motherboard as they suggested (crazy thinking ,for a service that was free, now to pay an entire motherboard) .
