Hello! I bought a used HP Elitebook 820 G3 some months ago. Laptop came with preinstalled software, everything worked fine. Last week I wanted to reinstall Win10, therefore I tried too change boot order ( USB, SSD, .. ) but I'm not able because the BIOS is password protected. The HP support told me I have to change the complete mainboard, and this will not be covered by warranty. ( They stopped to offer support for lost passwords a couple of months ago ) Is there an easy way to remove or read out the password on Elitebook 820G3? What will happen if I update the BIOS to the latest version available on official HP support site? Will the password be deleted or is it still on? Can anyone send me a "copy" of his BIOS ( *.bin ) so maybe I can reflash the BIOS? Any other solutions are welcome! Thanks in advance!

Hi guys I have a problem. I got a HP Probook 450 G1 from a friend with locked bios, and asked me to unlock it. HP Spare Key is not configured, and the administrator password must have been resetted, because the previous user took out the battery from the motherboard. Is there any way to fix it? Thank you

Hello, it is frustrating that for several days now I have been trying to get the tools to reset the bios password of my 6560b and I cannot get the right link for the Mazzif Tools. Can someone in this forum give me the link? I will appreciate it very much if someone can help me.
I have 2 EliteBook 850 G3's that were turned back in where a BIOS password was saved. We had an IT Staff member who deployed laptops without setting our standard BIOS password, and unfortunately we have no idea what they set. What can I do to get the BIOS unlocked? I booted from the USB drive and tried the shotgun method but that doesn't work.
Yikes, so likely no way to crack the pw that is set and clear it without using hardware of some sort? The main issue is that the webcams were disabled in BIOS I believe and with remote meetings in this day that’s kind of a necessity.
In a similar boat and i am seeing no other method for my machine (8440w) I am not sure about yours. I was told it has worked in the past, but i presume a change in the bios causes it to no longer work as expected. I find it unusual the air if uneasiness in this thead, and the unwillingness to help. The developer removed the download link from his site, and everyone asks everyone to leave him alone but from the posts i have seen from him he seems helpful. I would love to learn more about the reasons behind all of this, and the presumed secrecy of the tool.
