I got mine from hp,, told them powerloss during update. They sent me bin file to restore bios. Wish I still had it.

I'm unsure if this will work. I have a probook 650 g3 and i really don't wanna brick it. I've read that this can possibly brick it, is that true? I need access to the bios to enable virtualisation but i don't know the bios password. think this would work or that I'll have to find an alternative? ive spent many days researching this.

Hey, I bought an HP Compaq 6735s that has a BIOS password that I can't reset. I tried using your tool but I got an error: "Notebook is not supported (30e4)" I tried "Make key" on Windows, still the same result. Any chance to unlock it?

Hello @Mazzif I have an HP 6730b with BIOS protected by password I have lost. I have searched the internet and it looks that your solution is the only one that works (apart of the buying the new chipset suggested by HP). Unfortunately I cannot find your USB boot utility and exact procedure how to reset the BIOS password on HP 6730b. Can you help me with this issue? Thank you very much for any support.
Got a free 8730W early this year which had a BIOS password which I promptly removed thanks to this awesome tool, thanks OP!
Greetings all... Just wanted to stop by and say thanks for the correspondence and messages. I love seeing my work helping so many people still this far down the road. I'm sorry if I can't reply to everyone, but I can say this much. The answers are here in these pages for 90% of the issues. Do keep in mind that new HP bios updates have nerfed my tools. However, you can still use a programmer to rewrite the bios chips... Usually right on the board (no soldering requirements). See my other thread on the **70 series for that. Cheers
