I'm experiencing the same thing using HP Folio 9470m . I updated the BIOS successfully. Going to try different formatting methods and see if any helps.
Folio is not supported nor are the **70 models. Please understand you can test and try things using my methods but I may not be much for recovery help as I don't have these models.
Hello I have an Elitebook 8460p with a password stopping me from changing the BIOS settings. I am unable to boot of anything but the primary HDD. I used FreeDOS to create a DOS bootable HDD and took the files from your USB image - the DOS version. When I run the tool I get the message "This utility will not program for this SN: CZC223653W" I have managed to force a BIOS update to the most recent version following the instructions in a previous post - this has made no difference. I have tried Shotgun as well. Model HP Elitebook 8460p Product Number LG741EA#ABU Serial Number CZC223653W UUID E9E4F4ABCF7FE31180CA4684470300DD Asset Tag CZC223653W Sys Config ID A0001D02 Sys Board ID 161C Is there anything else you can suggest? Cheers
First, I would use the Windows tool, to 'Make All' and copy the files it creates to your DOS HDD, and run that shotgun.bat file. I will look at my code for the DOS 8460p and see if I have made a mistake. Other option would be use use DOS option 3 to reprogram and try changing the SERIAL to some other 10 digit, and then try again to unlock. These are the only options I have atm.
I Like to unlock my 6930p but the F9 boot menu is unlocked...so cant load our crack from usb.Help me pls. If you read first page is says [LOCKED BOOT ORDER] If your BIOS has a locked set boot order, and will only boot to HDD, you need to take a laptop sata drive and use an external adapter and make it dos bootable on another host machine also placing the files on this drive, then replace the internal hdd with your created dos boot-able HDD. Powering on the machine will boot to the dos environment. Using DOS commands, navigate to your files and execute them following directions on screen. BIOS will be free of passwords, TPM will be cleared.
THX!U are Great! I have one Dell E6520....think so its same as HP8560P.... What u think?Work this bios unlock in my Dell E6530?

Mazzif, you have been such a help, I have one question regarding my 8530p, In order to boot from usb I have been removing the HDD, Is this incorrect? I have not been able to update the BIOS or remove the password with the tools you provided. Thanks so much!!!
Unless you have a locked boot order, there is no need to remove your drives. What is the issue your having removing the pass?
