    Would someone please tell me what was the latest version/date stamp of this program and where I could find it? The version I have appears to be from 2013/2014.

    I just bought a used ProBook 6460b from a shop and it's BIOS is locked and I can't seem to get this to work. I need to change settings to install Mint, it won't boot and now I can't do anything on it because I need to change settings in the locked BIOS and I'm unable to take this laptop apart and solder chips in and out (the other way). Is this laptop pretty much useless?

    HP elitebook 2170 bios administrator password needs removing.

    @Mazzif, I have an HP elitebook 8570w, purchased 2nd hand and unknown to me there is a BIOS password.
    UUID 40263105-3D8F-11E2-8297-20C972014044
    SN 5CB24825PY

    HP's 'solution' was to replace the entire motherboard, so if you can help it would be appreciated.

    Do you have a password protected BIOS from the previous owner? If so, then do you get a halt code after 3 consecutive wrong tries?
