I bought an HP Stream 11, and it has a power-on password. Usually they will fall to either taking out the cmos battery and doing a complete power-down, or using a code from bios-pw.org, or connecting jumpers on the MB. However, the stop code on this unit is preceded by the letter, "i" ( as in, i 85070929 ), and that seems to indicate a problem. The power-down didn't work, the code from bios-pw.org didn't work, and I couldn't find a jumper on the motherboard, or an online schematic.

But apparently there is a general passcode that works. A guy on ebay with a decent reputation sells one - for $49, which is more than I want to spend.

Does anyone have any ideas how to get to this? Thanks.
