Some manufacturers limit based on model, series, or edition. So I just wanted to make sure people are aware of where I got them.
Does not look very original. HP does never use OEM folder because it use preinstalled software with recovery partition. And always includes wallpapers. Dell wallpapers are taken from an image posted on the net 2 months ago who is a fake based on the OEM folders on Vista DVD's. Sony and Toshiba Walls are originals, but cannot guarantee they are from a 7 or a Vista install. Sorry.
C3PO, I don't know what you are claiming... I took them from actual Windows 7 Laptops. I am in charge of presetting them up for G33k $quad stores. Also there is no OEM folder in the HP folder I provided, only an oobe folder. Keep in mind that the files are OBVIOUSLY not in the original structure on the hard drive. I thought that would be irrelevent. If you want proof, I can scan digital pictures of the burned restore discs, and/or take screenshots of the computers *shrugs*. EDIT: I attempted to use the Vista OEM Dumper and it gave a critical error saying I was not using admin privs, even though I started it with UAC.
I will look tomorrow to see how it is on the computer (its a Dell Inspiron 1545... and we have two other models, I will look at those too). Also please keep in mind I dumped these using a program I made for when vista came out, it does the following: Copies C:\Windows\System32\OEM, C:\Windows\System32\OOBE, C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper, and any folder with a file used in oobe.xml that was not already copied. And of course the OEMInformation.
Sweet, the HP files are taken from the same exact model I have. What are the chances of getting my hands on a copy of the Recovery Disks?
First, genuine thanks for taking the time to provide us with these.. +1 rep.. Moreover, I don't think it's your fault.. the image quality is good I suppose.. I think I did something wrong.. hope someone can clarify how to add logos properly to system properties.. I bet Orbit30 has the potential.. Another final rquest, please can you provide us with the OEM:SLP keys? If you don't have the utility I can provide you with it.. A simple small one, needs no installation, just run and it'll provide you with keys of Windows, Office..etc.. Waiting your reply..
Thank you guys. I will get the SLP keys and BINs tomorrow. They will not be posted until midnight though, because of a late shift. Also I created my own program to get the SLP key from the registry (granted its in the same place as 64bit vista).
Yeah some antivirus apps flags these things. I havnt had any issues with the file. They may be a better one to use, but had this one handy at the time of the post.
