AeonX Just checked on a fresh but not updated 8.1 Embedded Industry Pro U3 install, using my barebone services and scheduled tasks file, Handles Threads Processes - 5467 - 321 - 22. Theres a ton more tweaks to add.
    :moon: LTSC :tongue2:

So far i have got down to 4385 - 237 - 19(18 if you exclude task manager) and 5% ram use(out of 8gb, 128 for igpu) and i aint finished yet. If you got a multi core monster you wont care but if you use more modest stuff like a dual core HT Pentium with 4 or 8gb ram it will help a lot.Thank gawd for that igpu driver :worthy:
Ive got PhsMu hooked just like i did pmikep and he should be joining us here soon

Remember that those numbers are for bareboned services so no networking, airgapped only.

@AeonX These are the minimal numbers i can get after a bit more fiddling with 8.1, i wont get much lower than these. These numbers dont happen all at once but taken over a period of time. System has 8GB ram with 128mb for the igpu.
    Handles - 4287
    Threads - 164
    Processes(task manager running) - 19(18)
    Commit (MB) - 390/8064
    Physical - 5%
If i can manage to get better numbers then great but as it stands i am really happy with that lot. :om:

The rest of the other tweaks are hoggers and loggers, things to stop windows writing tons on uneeded stuff to hdd/ssd. A hdd will have more time to do the stuff you want so it should speed things up a bit. :worthy:

Very good result :) even in Win7 it is not easy to achieve this. So many unnecessary features that Microsoft implements even on XP. Since XP, Microsoft has introduced server and workstation features in client editions of Windows. Linux also does this except that it is not installed or enabled by default.
