Too little data about your computer.
The 2GB of RAM is too little for even 32-bit Windows 10, it will never work so, that it can be used as should. Even 3GB is not enough, min should be at least 4GB and CPU at least 2 cores and at least 2.1GHz. Then may try.

What windows 10 edition and architecture are you actually installing?

2GB RAM is sufficient for 10 x86 (32bit). Some tablets i had to reinstall even ran 64bit windows 10 on 2GB ram (Installed by manufacturer).

Even with 512MB RAM, Windows 10 could work. I tested that on an Asus eeePC P900 with just 512MB RAM and 16GB SSD, 32bit (for sure) and it worked. For sure veryyyyyyyy slowwwwwww, just it worked !

On several Acer Aspire One ZG5 Series, 512MB RAM mounted on MB, and extra 512 MB (total 1GB) or 1GB RAM extra (total 1.5GB) Windows 10 Pro worked quite well.

My smallest Windows Tablet (W803T) with Atom Quad CPU, 1GB RAM and 16GB SSD, Windows 10 Pro works with no problems and so on the other bigger Tablets (AU101T) with Atom Quad CPU, 2GB RAM and 32GB SSD. Windows 10 Pro works very well. On the W803T I use a modified Windows 10 Pro, with many apps removed while on the AU101T it's just the full and latest 1083 Pro Version.

  6. Looks like you never actually used w10 32 bit in 2 GB ram. It works very well. No hanging in normal apps and daily basis work.
although it hangs with 1 GB ram.
In all my test i've found that, sweet spot for w10 32 bit is 1.5 GB ram and for w10 64 bit is 3 GB ram. anything below will be sluggish. (i'm not talking about tablet)

Be happy when for you works and you are happy with such work.
PS Interesting how it can work normally if Google Chrome and Firefox (both) uses already almost 1GB of RAM. Or You simply uses clean Windows and nothing more?

spinning circle is 2 things.. HDD slow.. or permissions.

  10. Ram doesn't work like that. if windows find less ram then it uses less ram and allocate to the apps accordingly.
in my 2 GB pc, chrome with 5 tabs open uses around 400 mb ram. and windows uses 600 mb ram.
fyi if your system have 16 gb ram then chrome can use upto around 5 gb ram.

in 2 gb pc windows take 600 mb by default, as ram goes higher windows uses more ram.
its very simple, more ram available, the windows going to use more ram to speed up the process and be less dependent on hdd.

and btw i normally open vpn, a video song, 2 browsers, notepad++, cmd window a setting page utorrent all at the same time and it works fine.

It mainly didn't hangs, it just works slow! As I told in my post above (Post: #6), even it works with 512MB RAM, just very, very slow! That's for the 32bit versions!

The 64 Bit version will also work with 2GB of RAM, just not as fast as with 3GB or more!

Slow and 'hanging' are two different things!

  13. In 32 bit 1 gb ram it works little slow when no apps open, try to use chrome with 2 working tabs open and a 720p video song and a windows explorer in a Pentium pc and you'll see how it actually "hangs"
64 bit in 2 GB also "hangs" when used chrome with 4or 5 tabs open and few other apps simultaneously , while it doesn't hang in 32 bit.

From any, any angle you might wanna see it, 2 GB for a Windows 10, even 8.1 or 7, is low. Not too low but uncomfortably low.
I don't like neither those few hundred MB available nor the system swapping and swapping onto the drive.

Note: All depending on Hardware. Look like he/she has 2GB ram (can use Windows 10 32bits), but look like need 2 cores to able run Windows 10!! Also huge important is the Hard-drive need faster, like 7200rpm or SSD will do, Keep mind other hardware like Audio, Video card, some of Windows 10 (50/50 chance) make work or not..

As my best rules is 2 or more cores CPU, More ram as 3GB or more, and faster HDD 7200rpm or SSD is more pretty standard as startup..

As my recommended: 2 or more cores CPU, 4GB Ram (32bits or 64bits), HDD 250GB @ 7200 RPM or SSD, good video card are important is good quality brand in order work Windows 10..

BEST WAY to do your homework to check HARDWARE to able run Windows 10..

What I wrote in Post: #6 and Post: #12, are the work on a W803T (1GB RAM) and an AU101T (2GB RAM), both with the same Atom CPU 4 Core and both works OK and well with Windows 10 Pro 1803!

For sure, on a PC it may differ because of different Hardware (CPU ?Core/RAM/MB).

On the Asus eeePC P900, 1 Core 512MB Windows 10 Home and Pro both was work, just very slow, but hanging. And same happened on the Acer Aspire One ZG5 with 1Core, 512MB RAM, with much better results with 1.5GB RAM (max possible on that machines).

Hanging simply is: NO recovery to a working OS without a Restart of the system!
