i read windows 8 is on msdn now

    debug/checked build have been there ever since at least windows NT version 4
    its for developers with specially included and compiled debug information and debug symbols inside the main DLLs and executables of the operating system, so that sofware debuggers can assign names to certain functions inside DLLs to help developing software finding bugs and so forth.

    are you certain? what does volume mean here then? volume in terms of sku and target channel regarding key types and stuff? volume used to mean company volume-licensing and volume-activation type of usage in the past.

    the filesizes are also quite different with all these different types of win8 alone, this is odd, win7 iso sizes werent this different within the same architecture at least.

    If I installed Windows 8 Pro (WZOR release), is there any reason for me to reinstall with the release of Windows 8 from MSDN? I don't quite understand the difference between the two.

    MSDN is Microsoft Official version

    apparently they are different files, because SHA is different.


    STOP asking for x language version! just download language pack. I guess nobody is going to download each version on MSDN and reupload, that's insane.

    I believe if the file version of the system files is 6.2.9200.16384 and winver reports Version 6.2 (Build 9200) for either of them, then it's save to assume you do not need to install over.

    so what keys to use with win8/win8pro only to test things? the keys back from the leak last week wzor or whatever? are there still keys inside the iso in those configuration and text files in these official isos as well? thanks.

    I downloaded the Evaluation Version and the build string in the registry is exactly the same as the leaked wzor release.
