Ok, if I understand correctly, I can use the new version if I'm integrating IE10, or installing for the first time after installation of Win7, but no need to install the KB2817183? If IE10 is already installed (old version), I need to install the KB2817183? Thanks so much
Yes, cause KB2817183 is already inside the new cab file, so when you install/integrate IE10 you are installing the new update at the same time. Yep, that's correct, no need to uninstall the RTM version, just install the new update over it. And your welcome.
Ok, thank you. If I install just the new IE10, the files have GRD version. With the KB2817183, the file will be "LDR", is better I think? Not work for me (with dism or cmd)...
First thanks a lot for this awesome thread and explaning the way integrating IE10 into Windows 7, therefore i have some weird problem, so i integrated IE10 offline into Windows 7 taking into consideration the rules made here ( the four prequesites before the IE10 cab file and then the other extracted files), integration went fine no problem about that, so the problem came or i can say a strange phenominal when i tested the image in VM so in first boot i get a processes names mscorsvw.exe wich take my CPU at 100 % for about 5 minutes is it normal ? and just for note i tested a lot of times the same result came, any ideas ? and thanks a lot for your help. Note : i use Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 MSDN french version
thanks for your answer steven so its normal no worries about that, the fact is annoying because when you compare to IE9, IE9 never make this for me when i integrated offline into 7 anyway thanks again .
You can disable the optimzer so it stops slowing you computer down:- 1) Windows Key + R, then type in services.msc 2) then go down to where it states Microsoft .NET Framework NGEN v4.0.30319_X64 and x86 3) then to disable them double left click on one and then go to startup type, click on the selection list next to that and click on disabled, then click apply or ok. 4) Now do the same to all of the Microsoft .NET Framework NGEN services, and this will stop the slow down. In future when you are updating .NET Framework 4.0 or 4.5, any update will switch the optimzer back on, so you need to disable it again as soon as it starts optimsing again.
thanks steven ; by the way i have other question have anyone here had a problems with IE10 (integrating Offline or installaing Online) breaking using non official themes ( for example themes belong to deviantart) when applying them after integrating/installing IE10 ? and thanks you for your answers.
I don't use unofficial themes, with exception to adding blue progress bars, cause I hate green. But I haven't had problem integrating IE10 plus the updates it needs in order to work.
Hi Steven I was experimenting with the IE10 Admin Kit to make a custom installer and I was wondering if you or anyone here uses it to tweak the installer.... and of course I have some questions
