No I have never used any IEAK software for IE8, 9 and 10, but I'm sure someone else has. I've added the IEAK for IE10 to the first post
Thanks Steven... the IEAK is good but is more limited than I thought so I am finding that I still need some XML settings along with some reg tweaks... I will be experimenting for the next few days as I make a new updated integration and I will report back
Pulling my hair out with some IE10 stuff... My unattend.xml entries aren't all adding properly so I did I reg file which I integrate as an SFX file during install but I just noticed that it doesn't add the settings to all the users. So now I used the IEAK and it creates so many different files I have to experiment with them to see what works... I can't seem to find clear info.
I have run so many different tests and I am amazed that I can't find 1 simple way of getting everything I want in IE10... I need to use the XML + IEAK + a few reg tweaks... I just created new installers from the IEAK but they are exe and msi so I don't know how to integrate either of them as "updates" with WinToolKit. Any advice or suggestions?
There are only 2 options available that I know in this situation, Audit Mode or SetupComplete.cmd. As for using either exe or msi versions, it doesn't matter which one you choose since they are both identical.
AFAIK they release monthly updates to all Internet Explorer versions in the form of a .msu file and windows update download. The one for July2013 is KB2846071. You might try to point your tool at the msu file. Just go download it from ms download center. I personally integrate ie10 prereqs, IE10.cab - spelling - hyphenation, and IE10 patches in different DISM passes. Looks something like this: Code: Dism /mount-wim /wimfile:c:\win7\sources\install.wim /index:5 /mountdir:c:\mnt dism /image:c:\mnt /add-package /packagepath:c:\IE10-PR dism /image:c:\mnt /add-package /packagepath:c:\IE10 dism /image:c:\mnt /add-package /packagepath:c:\IE10-Patch dism /unmount-wim /mountdir:c:\mnt /commit The current pre-reqs are KB2680838, KB2726535, and KB2729094-V2
KB2670838 is not superseded? I integrate IE10 and hotfixes to ISO, the only one that is required is the KB2670838 to integrate (and currently KB2870699)
IE 10 is only useful upon windows installation, so that you can download Chrome or Firefox faster, haha
Hello When I'm on facebook, Outlook.com, etc ... my session expires and I have to reconnect again. I have a problem with IE10 (it does not on other PC)? Thanks
Thanks for your answer I tried deleting the cookies and the problem returns (but it is only through time) I have not installed the KB2786081, the taskhost.exe file is older than the one installed... Thanks
KB2786081 is the only update that's been released by MS that addresses this issue, it hasn't been superseded yet.
