it worked but it says the rom file isnt newer than that of the bios when trying to put 1.28 ughhh i dont know
call acer .. they gave u a bios that disabled internal lcd.. flas**t.exe has switches to allow flashing older. boot dos and type this flas**t PEW71128.fd /bios /b /dc this is for 28 version. recovery filename is PEW71X64.fd
called acer which was a waste of time they wanted me to extend my warranty before they would help with anything, iv flashed to ther older bioses 1.27 and 1.28 and 1.23 with no luck, the really weird thing is when i first turn it on i can faintly see the acer logo splash screen so i dont know what is going on with it
*check the switch that tells the laptop that the screen is "down" was held down or stuck *check the contrast or brightness slider/ button +/- normally Fn and other button combination *if the above don’t help then it could be the inverter or backlight I think if the flash was bad laptop wouldn’t show on the external monitor.
yea i think that switch is goood when i close the lid the external monitor goes to sleep just weird how it happend right after i flashed the bios
thank you all for the help i solved it by taking the computer completely apart and putting it back together i dont know if it reset something or what but the screen is working perfect now
