That's 30% of the daily official wage in Thailand equal to 3 meal and an amount which some, in rural areas quite a lot, didn't achieve! And there many other countries around the world on even lower level than Thailand!

None of the 3.Party Start Menu's are real one, those come from MS only!

And MS will NOT give that back!

    That is not true!
StartIsBack is compiled from left over M$ code that M$ left deep in the OS!

Still a 3.Party product and NOT compiled by MS!

Or would you state that MS was compiling the SiB? Only in that case it would be a real one!

Call it what you want, it utilizes code left over by M$ by adding in the code they took out thus it being the real one!
It is truly integrated and not a shell thus being the real start menu!

Not to argue just to make it clear that it's a 3.Party product, doesn't matter on what code, how it were compiled, doesn't matter using partly original Code (maybe allowed by the original developer or may not) and how it's integrated in any system.

Matter of fact is, it's NOT a MS product and integrated by MS! Period!

All said about that Start menu's, didn't mean I like or dislike them, it's just to keep the facts straight forward and to the truth.

    No offences anarchist9027!

Lenovo has a button called Quick Launch since many months. It does not come with a newly bought machine but you can download it on their site through System Update.
I run it on one machine out of curiosity, it is quite comfortable and can be customized as well ... and it is free

What advantage has "StartIsBack" in comparison to "Classic Shell" ?

Former versions of "Classic Shell" had these disadvantages:
    • "Boot to desktop" as separate service task
    • No start of Metro-Apps via "Classic Shell" startmenu
    • No function to disable "hot corners" on Desktop (like Charms bar)
But all these disadvantages are eliminated in the latest Version of "Classic Shell".

So I now see the advantage of "Classic Shell" in comparison to "StartIsBack" is: "Classic Shell" is free.

StartIsBack has a much more genuine start menu feel and experience to it in my opinion, much more polished finish

Classic Shell feels cheap and slightly hacked, fonts are bad etc
