I installed KB4465477 SSU, but it showed me in update history (In Control Panel) that it was installed before (Probably part of .55). KB4464455 not fixing the blink white in dark File explorer.
some and problems appeared that's why M$ stopped it On the other side why not downloading the corresponding iso and do an upgrade
i know it got stopped but i thought it got resumed? im not in a hurry just wandering if the problem is on my end
Thread title is absolutely deceiving. It might be resumed for insiders, but not for general population.
This kb4465477 is an SSU , a Service Stack Update. It updates the Component Based Servicing (CBS) which handles the installation process for the operating system. Updates may have Service stack update prerequisites. If a required SSU is not installed, windows throws the error message " This update can not be applied to your computer".
after installing the 1809 microsoft version solitaire crash immediately without starting after uninstall the problem persists some idea !!!!!!!
1809 was on Windows Update starting 2 October BUT NOT automatic Download, You had to click on Check For Updates to start Download It was pulled from WU on Friday 5 October.
Thank you for your advice & help, I`m pleased to say it worked I`m now on 17763.104 after re-booting Great thanks you so much
I updated on oct 2nd before they pulled it and I guess I was one of the lucky ones because I never lost anything. a couple of days after they pulled it they released a patch to fix the missing file problem so I guess its a wait and see what they do next ! the excuse for the bad release was bulls**t they said it wasn't ready for release for the general public ! so what the hell is the "check for updates button " for then if its not for release to the general public the button shouldn't be there !! that was a lame excuse
I don't even think that Microsoft considers that a "bug", nowhere have I seen that they admit it is a bug (I may be wrong), so I don't think they'll "fix it", don't expect that.
Thanks to the uupdl tool of the genius S1ave77 I get the chance to upgrade to the insider build 17763.104 and surprise the blink was fixed. Problem solved
These are the fixes in 17763.104: UPDATE 10/16: We have released the Windows 10 October 2018 Update Build 17763.104 (KB4464455) to Windows Insiders in the Slow and Release Preview rings. This Cumulative Update contains the following fixes: We have fixed the issue where the incorrect details were being shown in Task Manager under the “Processes” tab. We fixed an issue where in certain cases IME would not work in the first process of a Microsoft Edge user session. We fixed an issue where in some cases applications would become unresponsive after resuming from Connected Standby. We fixed several issues causing application compatibility problems with 3rd-party antivirus and virtualization products. We fixed several issues with driver compatibility. Code: We have fixed the issue where the incorrect details were being shown in Task Manager under the “Processes” tab. Should be the fix for the blinking arrows? I am waiting for my 17763.104 LTSC to finish installing in VM, to check.
yeah i know but like @BAU said i thought it got resumed as the title says. any word on when will it be available through windows update?
Who cares what the title says about the status? Is that what will fix all, when i change it to whatever you or anyone wants?? It should actually be back to InsiderPreview, to be 100% corky exact. But many have got it publicly, so complain at MSFT.
@Enthousiast I know we do not have to post thanks statements, but instead just click on "Like" icon. but I can't resist to thank you for these informations , we outsiders do not have access to. I confirm the blinking arrows is fixed.
