    NO! Driver installation is needed regardless the way.

    What is so hard to understand? The direct Upgrade apparently creates the ticket automatically and applies at a later stage. The manual way just mimicks that very process.

    TL;DR: No matter what, to assure generation of valid tickets, the driver install is mandatory for a fresh Win 7 install.

    Not trying to off topic. I noticed a conversation about GenuineTicket and am hoping someone has a similar solution for a different problem. I have a copy of Office 2013 CtR installed on a machine and I misplaced the PKC. The PK cannot be recovered by ProduKey or etc., something about how it was designed, and it is not in the office.com account. Know of any system for copying activation, or recovering the key? TIA

    Don't worry...MS invest so much in creativity instead of stability that some new amazing sh*t will always arise to surprise the world.

    And most, if not all, predictions and speculating was wrong, in the past.

    If MSFT will release a new (refreshed) iso, it should be soon, else they can't keep up their release frequency.
