yes well not big deal using the standard MS drivers unless u really need RAID support then ur toasted. TIP: if u enable Hot-Swap on the bios theres no freezes since the OS its kinda prepared or expecting the HDD to be disconected at some point, cons u cant enable the cache wich make the hdds a bit slower on randoms r/w, and u will need to phisically plug-unplug sata power on the drive to acces it again.

@Razor001 install the correct intel Me drivers for you're MB chipset along with intel RST, guess the sata port issue you are experience is gone then.
