Thanks, but will this particular ISO work for me, since I want to upgrade from a older OS?
    Got it from https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1508535

I can do a clean install as well, just want to know if the "upgrade" is a valid option.

Guys got a problem I've downloaded windows 10 Enterprise LTSC Evaluation version build 17763.379
All I see here are links for older versions.
Which I'm supposed to download to make a new bootable usb? or is there a way to convert my eval version to a full version?

There is no (LTSC) 17763.379 EVAL or non EVAL version. Most current officially released ISO's are 17763.316.

yup. LTSC requires a clean install over previous version like win7 (not necessarily format & install but more like an "overwrite" install which moves the older OS to the Windows.old folder, then after install of ltsc you can manually move your personal files from the windows.old folder back)

edit: there are no 17763.379 ISOs for 1809, unless MS of course decides to make them before this month ends

I've successfully installed it, and yes, the "overwrite" install works as you said: it deletes all system data + apps, and let only the personal data, but since I had a ton of useless stuff on the system partition (like old program dumps, cache, etc), I've opted for the clean install. But I had a problem because my HD was MBR, and I had a particular partition that had too much important data on it, so I had to buy another HDD to install it on. Real headache. :p

Haha, when is it not. After going from win7 to win10 recently myself I can say the difference is vast. In my case I've always kept my personal stuff on a secondary disk and given Windows a disk to itself so you're actually better off now anyway.

3rd from top, SW_DVD5_WIN_ENT_LTSC_2019_64-bit_Italian_MLF_X21-96445.iso, is the updated VLSC ISO from the looks hence should be used.

You can opt for the Up/Downgrade trick. Needs reg changes:
    Code:
    ::Up/Downgrade
    reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion" /v CompositionEditionID /t REG_SZ /d "EnterpriseS" /f
    reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion" /v EditionID /t REG_SZ /d "EnterpriseS" /f
    reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion" /v ProductName /t REG_SZ /d "Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC" /f

Mount the mentioned ISO (the VLSC ISOs already contain the needed ei.cfg) and run setup.exe. It should offer option to keep all programs and most Settings ;).

Backup is recommended prior to any tests ;).

Nah, open CMD as admin and enter the 3 lines (one-by-one and hit Enter). This will change the reg settings.
