Dark explorer is not supported in aerolite style, which is abandoned since Windows Server uses Windows 10 style. Nothing except applying default style will fix this problem.
OK, well I fixed the borders from within the settings, as suggested, so thanks for pointing me to that, but it did not fix the general colors of explorer or the right clicking white text and white background. I assume now that 1809 should have been clean installed instead of upgraded from 1803, lol. Just wonderful stuff. And I used to always preach installing cleanly, guess I need to remember my own advice, oops. What is really sad, is young people at DeviantArt and WinCustomize have better theming skills than Microsoft themselves. Very sad...
Did you enable Full Dynamic Range ? It may not fix the right click menu but it will make the dark look better.
Yeah, but like I said in my previous post it is fixed 100% now. All I had to do was reset back to the original Theme. When I sign into my Microsoft account I have them sync my settings from build to build, as it should be, it was just Dark Mode and the Hero background (which I didn't think was considered a different theme). Apparently this build 1809 needed me to reset the theme back to out-of-the-box Theme settings. After that I re-enabled the Dark mode (which I have been using ever since it was introd) and my custom Hero background and everything was how it should be. None of the previous upgrades ever broke it, but then again this is the first time I am trying the Explorer dark version. Who knows, maybe this was a perfectly normal quirk of Windows 10 theming and the new Explorer, OR maybe something was changed in this build that did not get along with the previous settings, who knows?
Windows Update History is showing: Feature Updates: Windows 10 Insider Preview 10.0.17763.1 (rs5_release) Used 17763.1.180914-1434.rs5_release_clientconsumer_ret_x64fre_en-us_a21ecd9defb6c71439dc7bbf6bc3684be8fd9aea.esd converted to a Pro only ISO using decrypt-multi-release_v180925. Resulting ISO is 17763.1.180914-1434.RS5_RELEASE_CLIENTPRO_OEMRET_X64FRE_EN-US.ISO. Mounted ISO and upgraded from 1803 Pro Retail. Is this normal?
Thanks, was worried Windows Update was showing Insider Preview when I installed the Release (RTM?) version.
I have compared content of the ISO created from ESD and those created from UUP files: Code: 2018-09-25 11:16 4,075,094,016 17763.1.180914-1434.rs5_release_clientconsumer_ret_a64fre_en-us_271cffa11ed737a1dedf538cadb624f3624b519d.ISO 2018-09-18 22:05 4,250,091,520 17763.1.180914-1434.RS5_RELEASE_CLIENTPRO_OEMRET_X64FRE_EN-US.ISO ISO created from UUP contains only Pro: C:\WINDOWS\system32>dism /Get-ImageInfo /ImageFile:g:\Sources\Install.wim Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool Version: 10.0.17763.1 Details for image : g:\Sources\Install.wim Index : 1 Name : Windows 10 Pro Description : Windows 10 Pro Size : 14,814,140,570 bytes ISO created from ESD contains at index 6: Index : 6 Name : Windows 10 Pro Description : Windows 10 Pro Size : 14,374,556,099 bytes There is a significant difference in the SIZES of the same, Pro X64 en-us which means that ESDs were not created from the same content as UUP files received by insiders.
