I got a different size on my iso made from esd, PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> dism /Get-ImageInfo /ImageFile:K:\Sources\Install.wim Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool Version: 10.0.17763.1 Details for image : K:\Sources\Install.wim Index : 1 Name : Windows 10 Pro Description : Windows 10 Pro Size : 14,364,171,065 bytes The operation completed successfully.
This is STRANGE as I've used the same ESD as you. The difference is not significant bu I have no idea how it may happend Well, there is ONE idea: method of the CONVERTING: for the 1st time to create ISO from the ESD I have used nor the Abbody, Adguard converters but DISM++ converting function just to VERIFY how it works. OK, will redo the ISO and compare again. Have verified "by hand", with a dism: Code: dism /Export-Image /SourceImageFile:w:\VHDs\17763.1.180914-1434.rs5_release_clientconsumer_ret_a64fre_en-us_271cffa11ed737a1dedf538cadb624f3624b519d.esd /SourceIndex:9 /DestinationImageFile:.\install.wim /Compress:Max /CheckIntegrity Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool Version: 10.0.17763.1 Exporting image [==========================100.0%==========================] The operation completed successfully. dism /Get-ImageInfo /ImageFile:Install.wim Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool Version: 10.0.17763.1 Details for image : Install.wim Index : 1 Name : Windows 10 Pro Description : Windows 10 Pro Size : 14,374,556,099 bytes The operation completed successfully. Have got the same size of the Pro system
I added my Google account just fine. I don't know about that, maybe update the app? I had issues with adding Gmail in the past as the login window would just time out very quickly and won't let me put in my credentials, I fixed that by connecting through a VPN. That probably didn't like my connection for some reason, maybe try that.
Weird. But it is working OK so far. Just wondered why windows update was showing as Insider vs Final. Windows Update History is showing: Feature Updates: Windows 10 Insider Preview 10.0.17763.1 (rs5_release). This did not happen on previous installs using esd to iso (1803, etc.).
Those of you are running latest NVIDIA driver (411.70), do you see WDDM 2.5 support if you run DXDIAG? THANKS.
What do you mean by "Windows Update History": if Registry hklm\System\Setup\Source OS (Updated on...) subkeys then 17763.1 is not present there and will appear only when upgraded to the next build. Sorry, I'm an idiot as you've mean a line from the Settings->Update For me the HISTORY is always a history of the BUILDS upgrades nor the history of the current build updates which for insider builds is rather short if any
Differences in iso filesizes and other sizes are already once explained (iirc by @abbodi1406), it's because of slight differences in compression. That's why MDL only allows officially released ISO's or ESD's to be shared, only those can be verified.
