wait around this Tue Aug 24 or later to find out

That would be homebrew and it is not allowed to be shared on MDL, best to make one yourself:

@eightball The LCU you quoted contains the ssu inside(.2140). Just extract the .msu file in a folder and install the ssu, then the lcu.

OK, thanks! I was a bit confused by "Same as inside the LCU" I didn't know I needed to install it separately.

And this makes it nice and tidy so I don't have to download anything other than the one big update from catalog.microsoft. Thanks!

Weird, even after installing KB5005102 Windows Update says I still need KB5005030. I don't get it

When you use W10UI then it will extract the SSU and apply it before it applies the LCU.

Manually using dism needs the ssu to be present separately from the lcu,

Is a preview update, when windows needs to update some features or language files, it will download the latest official update to use it for the updating (it's more technical but this is the explanation in short).

Me as well I'm trying to update 17763.1 with the latest Updates (17763.2183.1.0) from @Enthousiast links, but I'm a little confused how W10UI handles the new combined SSU+LCU.
If I understand correctly, I need a separated SSU from the new LCU (LCU+SSU) that is the pre-requirement for the Update to take place?
    e.g:
To update vanilla 17763.1 to 17763.2183.1.0 with W10UI I need SSU KB5005112 file (prerequisite) to pair with LCU KB5005568 (that have SSU KB5005701 in it), correct?

I checked your log, it seems that W10UI can handle all by itself, thank you very much!!
So the KB5005112 prerequisite is necessary to be installed only in the perspective of using DISM manually?

You are absolutely right my friend :D

KB5005112 is needed only if the user don't want or know how to install the bundled SSU inside combined update
i.e. those who use msu files directly (on non-updated system)
